A year later

Obviously I got out of the blogging habit. Life took over and I just didn't have the time. I really do love blogging though. My posts aren't as interesting as many others but blogging really is a great way to communicate and share about your life to anybody who wants to listen. =)

So let me catch you up on my life:

Good things:
1. My subbing career has really taken off. I get called numerous times a week.
2. Jonathan got a promotion at work!
3. We are currently starting the process to buy a house!

Fun things:
1. Went on a trip to San Fransisco in July 2011 to celebrate 3 years of marriage.
2. Renewed our Disney passes =)
3. Took a trip to Las Vegas with my family (minus the hubby) in November 2010.
4. Enjoyed numerous plays with my mom and sister.
5. Jonathan's brother and his family stayed with us for one wonderful week in January 2011.
6. Two of my very best friends got married this year!
7. I have become obsessed with scrapbooking.
8. I met Kristin Chenoweth!

Bad Things:
1. I suffered another miscarriage in Feb of this year. I was 9 weeks pregnant. That makes three beautiful babies that I will never get to meet or hold. =( I know I am meant to be a mom and that I will have a baby of my own someday.

Overall it's been a wonderful year. I have so much to be thankful for. I have many wonderful things coming up this holiday season and early next year. I can't wait to share it all with you.

Summer time

Besides the hard times I've been having, I have had some fun this summer.

First of all, Jonathan has started to play hockey. He LOVES it and its great that he has a hobby that he likes so much!

I went to the beach to see my friend two times, within a three day period. This first time I went with my husband for the day and the second time I went with my friend, Brynna, and her kids for the day. I really can't wait to go to the beach again and it needs to be ASAP.

I have no balance

Which is exactly why when I went ice skating I was terrified!
See.

My husband has decided that he wants to get into hockey, so he we decided to start practicing our ice skating. I took one step on the ice and had a panic attack, but eventually I got the courage to go around once. Then I fell and grabbed onto the nearest person, who happened to be a complete stranger. I don't think his girlfriend was pleased haha. At least Jonathan and Alex had a good time.

My mom has been so great. She has been taking us so many places and making my life much more interesting!

Recently she took us to see America's Got Talent! We just saw the auditions (which won't air until June!) but it was still awesome. There were some really great talents and some not so great talents.

With our favorite act, Future Funk. Once you see them you will love them too!

She also took my sister and I to the El Capitan Theater to see Alice in Wonderland. We got the VIP experience and got to see props and costumes from the movie. Afterwards, we went to go see CATS. I was very disappointed in the play and it was by far my least favorite play I had ever seen.

So many great things are coming up and I am so exited! Chicago (the play), Relay for Life, my two year wedding anniversary, and a recently booked trip to Forks, Washington!

Life is good. =)

Heart Day

I hope everybody had a wonderful heart day! I have to say that I do not really celebrate this holiday. I believe that you should show your love every single day of the year, not just reserve it all in one day. Although, I still like getting the presents haha.

My day consisted of:
♥ Playing with babies in the nursery.
♥ Cleaning the house
♥ Spending a little quality time with my hubby
♥ Watching Donnie Darko, Zombieland, and playing Little Big Planet with these awesome people:

Apparently that is the only picture I have of the four of us.

Overall it was a good day. Now for 364 more days of love! <3

Stomp!

For Christmas my mother gave my whole family and my cousin Kim tickets to go see "Stomp" at the Pantages in Hollywood! I was excited to spend the day with my family. I love it when we all get together. Family time is very important to me. =)

First we went to Kabuki Japanese restaurant in Hollywood. That place is delicious!

Yummy!

Alex bet Dad $50 that he wouldn't eat the ball of Wasabi. He did. =)

Then Dad gave Alex the chance to relieve his debt if Alex did the same. After a lot of pressure from us he did!

Kim and I sharing Banana Tempura. It was SO yummy!

After lunch it was time for the play which was amazing! There was all music and little talking. The most impressive part was that they didn't use instruments to make their music. They used things like cans, matchboxes, and their own feet and hands.

After the play we decided to take the subway to Hollywood. We missed the train and had to wait 15 minutes for another one. The joke of the day was to get a picture of Dad with Andrea or just Dad smiling in general, so we tried to do that while we were waiting haha. We also took a lot of pictures so I put them here for your viewing pleasure. lol

There is a lot going on in this picture and I just love it. Andrea is trying to sneak a picture with my dad and is following him, Jonathan is goofing off, and I'm not sure what mom is doing. But I love it.

We ate Dewar's ice cream at Disney Soda Fountain and then headed back on the subway to go home.

It was a wonderful family day that I wouldn't trade for anything! <3

Mamma Mia!

What a weekend!

On Saturday I went with my mom and sister to Hollywood to see our third play, Mamma Mia! It was amazing and such a great time! I truly enjoy spending quality time with my mom and sister and we really don't do it often enough.

We ate lunch at a new restaurant called "Grub" in Hollywood, CA. They have amazing food and its such a cute little place! They also have quite a humorous view of their menu.

We then went to the play! It was amazing! Although, I don't understand how anybody thinks it is okay to leave your cell phone on during a play! People pay $75 a ticket to go see it and you leave on your cell phone! Not only that, but the lady next to me actually talked on hers! Oye! Also, she decided it was okay to open candy wrapper or something that made that noise for about 15 minutes. I was very upset.

BUT at least the play was good.

After the play, my mom took us SHOE SHOPPING at Off Broadway Shoes. This place was the biggest shoe store I have ever seen in my life! The prices weren't the best I have ever seen but there was every shoe there that you could imagine! I found the cutest shoes that I have ever seen and I feel completely in love! They were about $50, but so worth it! Jonathan says that they are "so me"! haha

Photobucket
I quick and secret picture I took of Off Broadway Shoes. The picture does not really do the size of this place justice!

Photobucket
My beautiful Martinez Valero shoes! Love them!

Photobucket
These are the tennis shoes I got too. Yay for new tennis shoes!

On the way home we stopped at at Valencia and ate dinner at a yummy Chinese restaurant called "Pick up Stix" (no pictures of this place). I wish we had one in Bakersfield! It was a big step up from Panda Express but was affordable. I got the Shrimp and Vegetables with brown rice and an egg roll. It probably wasn't the healthiest meal they had there, but I felt good about it. And since I was so good (and Baskin Robbins was a few stores down), we got ice cream too! I had the Icing on the Cake (OMG! OMG! OMG!) and it was unbelievably yummy!

It was such a great trip and I can't wait to see what our last play has in store next month!
