Clean house

Photobucket

I have recently discovered a show called "Clean House" on the Style channel. Niecy Nash and her team of experts come in to the house, help the owners get rid of their clutter, sell it all in a yard sale, and then use the money to redo three rooms in their house into beautiful spaces.

I might not have a serious clutter problem like the people on the show with clutter reaching to the ceiling, but I do have my share of clutter. I hold onto things and its hard for me to get rid of it. I guess I am what people call a "pack rat". This show helped me to recognize my problem and work on getting rid of the excess in my life. The worst rooms in my house is the bedroom, my office, and the garage. (Cringe!) My husband also likes to collect things, so that just makes it worse. But I would say that the problem is 70% me, 30% him.

The first step is admitting your problem right?
I think my problem is buying stuff on an impulse or because it is on sale and I just think its too good of a deal to pass up! That includes going to yard sales. This leads to too much in the house because I don't get rid of what I have. Plus it just gets worse because I don't want to have to deal with picking it up and organizing it.

Part shopping addiction+part laziness= messy house

But I'm determined to change all of that. I'm completely inspired by watching this show.

Although it is a big problem, the past few days I have been going through stuff in my house and getting rid of a lot of it. If I don't have a place for it or haven't used it in awhile, its gone. Things I have held on to for years or surprisingly easy to let go. I will definitely post pictures when I am all finished. My goal is to have it completely done (EVERY room in this messy house) by the end of the summer at the LATEST! That means completely organized and clean! Not just the floor picked up and what you can see be nice and clean.

Wish me luck!

Weird

Have you ever had one of those moments when you think about somebody out of the blue and then you see them like the very next day? I've had two of those exeriences lately and I'm weirded out!

I was watching Malcolm in the Middle the other day and I was wondering who Jane Kaczmarek (Lois or the mom on the show) was married to in real life. I heard she was really married to her on-screen husband. I searched her name on imb.com and found that she had been married to an actor named Bradley Whitford for 16 years. I thought to myself "Wow! Sixteen years is a long time in Hollywood!" Well, when I checked www.people.com this morning, they reported that the couple had recently filed for divorce. How weird is it that I just looked up this couple yesterday and now they are filing for divorce? Weird.

Yesterday I met my new boss and just kept thinking how much she looked like my master teacher, Kim C. They could of been sisters they looked so much alike. Here comes the weird part: while out with Jonathan by Target on Rosedale, I saw Kim drive by! I haven't really thought about her in awhile and just thought it was weird that I just thought about her yesterday and now saw her!

Things like this happen to me all the time and I'm beginning to think I might be a little bit psychic (or crazy haha).

Have you ever had an experience like this?

Let's Zumba!

Photobucket

So I currently have a guest pass to my local In Shape City. My friend also has a pass and we decided to try it out together! To even get the pass I had to go through a lot of "how great this gym is compared to other gyms" talk. Stupid. I just wanted to tell him, "I get it! Can we just do the damn tour and get this pass set up!" But that's okay, because the gym is SO much bigger than my current gym. I don't know if I'm going to get a membership there, but I'm keeping my other membership because I only pay $9 a month!

Anyway, I got the pass on Sunday and went to the gym for the first time on Monday. I liked it, especially the women's section! I saw a class taking place and I got excited to try one. My friend and I decided to try out this class called Zumba!

I just got back from my first class and I absolutely loved it! Even though I am highly uncoordinated and probably looked like an idiot, I loved being able to dance, shake my booty, and lose weight! Plus the class was highly energetic and I just had an amazing time! The hour went by really fast and it was just awesome!

If you haven't tried it you need to! I'm completely out of shape and way overweight and even I finished the class! I'm going back Thursday night! Can't wait!
